    Silesian Insurgents' Cap

The Silesian Uprisings were three uprisings by Poles from Upper Silesia between 1919 and 1921, aimed at annexing the region to Poland. The first uprising in August 1919 was quickly suppressed by the Germans. The second, in August 1920, ended in partial success for the Poles and improved their situation before the plebiscite. In the March 1921 plebiscite, the majority voted for Germany, but many Polish communities supported Poland. The largest was the third uprising in May 1921, which led to fighting and Allied intervention. Ultimately, Poland received one-third of Upper Silesia, including the most important industrial areas.

The Silesian Insurgents' Cap, used as a captured uniform by the insurgent forces from May to July 1921.

Alongside American forage caps, it was the most popular headgear. Worn with various eagle designs in place of the bow.
