    A non-regulation forage cap, type 23.

    Commonly known as the "Jewish skullcap" during the interwar period.

    Used primarily in cavalry units, but also in several other units, such as the 85th Vilnius Riflemen Infantry Regiment, the 23rd Infantry Regiment, and in signal units.

    This forage cap has a simple cut without vents. Often made of worsted fabric for officers and non-commissioned officers.
