How to measure the head?

We measure the head circumference approximately 1.5 cm above the ears, and at the top of the forehead and at the back of the head - at the height where the hat will reach.
The measurement obtained is the circumference of our head, which is also our headgear size.
If our head circumference is e.g. 56 cm, the ordered headgear should be size 56.
